Gold Alert Canceled for Missing Person Found in Good Condition

New Castle County Police canceled the Gold Alert issued for a 12-year-old boy who resides in the unit block of Bentley Place in New Castle due to his safe return home.

The boy, Elgin Wilson, returned home and was deemed to be in good condition.

Wilson was reported missing from his residence, and police learned that he was last seen in the area of B and Townsend Streets in the Southbridge section of the City of Wilmington August 21.

His medical status was such that there was a real concern for his safety and welfare until his return.

The Gold Alert system is used to help locate missing persons as quickly as possible.
