    History Quiztory Battles, bad-guys, heroes and innovators. Our local history is down-right thrilling! Join the many fans of these fun expert-led presentations to learn about the area’s super-interesting past and see related artifacts and objects. Each session concludes with a fun mini-quiz and prizes. Registration required. Ages 12-Adults. FREE. April's History Quiztory will feature "America's Anchor - A Naval History of the Delaware River and Bay" – (Retired), General Ken Wiggins from the Delaware Military Museum.
  3. Sat Apr. 20

    Fix It Café Bring your broken lamp, vacuum, waffle iron, sewing machine or any one item that you can carry and work beside a volunteer experienced in repairs to fix it! Partnership with Lowe’s of Bear and the University of Delaware American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Adults, Youth 10-17 with an Adult. There are certain items that we cannot accept at the Fix It Cafe. This includes gas-powered tools (eg lawn mowers) and complex electronic devices (eg laptops). Tell us what you are bringing to the Fix It Cafe so we can be sure we can help you repair it! Volunteers needed: The Fix-It Cafe relies on its volunteers to help residents fix their broken items. If you know someone who likes to tinker and would like to help, register at - newcastlede.gov/volunteer.

    Farm Stories and Fun Saturday 12.30-1.15 p.m. A fun story time about life on a farm, followed by an old-time activity kids living the country life would have done a long time ago. Bring a snack. Ages 2+ with an adult.

    Casting with Cops Join NCCPD for the 3rd Annual Casting with Cops event at Glasgow Park’s catch and release fishing pond. Bring a rod, bait and your hat for catch and release fishing with New Castle County Cops at the stocked pond at Glasgow Park. Enjoy demonstrations from the Mounted and K9 units, moon bounces, food trucks and much more!

Camps at Glasgow Park

Half-Day Sports Camps

These week-long camps run for three hours each day. Camp fee is $60 (except tennis which is $115) and includes a t-shirt, instructor and administrative fees. Non-residents please add $5 to the fees.  All half-day sports camps run Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at various locations. Ages vary by camp.

Safety Town

Safety Town is a fun, 1-week  program consisting of a miniature town with child-sized houses, crosswalks, and streets. This popular program teaches ages 4, 5, and 6 about safety through songs, guest speakers, and role-playing.  $80 for NCC residents/$100 for non-residents.
